On March 25, 2025, the Welfare Administration and Benefits Division of the Human Resources and Organization Department, in collaboration with the Faculty of Public Health, organized a training session on “Occupational Accident Prevention” at Phattharathammaphorn Room, Walailak University Medical Center. The training was divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon, with a total of 112 registered participants.

The objective of this training was to enhance knowledge and understanding of occupational accident prevention, enabling participants to apply this knowledge to ensure safety in their work practices.

A representative from the organizing team expressed gratitude to all participants for their support, which contributed to the smooth execution of the event.

Distinguished speakers from the Faculty of Public Health shared their knowledge and experience through theoretical lectures, demonstrations, and group activities, empowering participants to effectively apply their learnings in real-world work scenarios.

This training initiative is part of the organization’s occupational safety and health policy, which emphasizes fostering a culture of safety and encouraging employee participation in accident prevention, thereby creating a safe and healthy work environment for everyone.

HRO Welcomes New Staff with Orientation Program

On January 21-22, 2025, the Division of Human Resources and Organization  Walailak University held an orientation program for new staff members of the fiscal year 2025. The event took place at the Hua Taphan Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Walailak University Hospital. The program aimed to welcome new members to the Walailak family and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s culture, goals, and strategic direction.

The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, who delivered a keynote speech on “Results-Based Management: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Innovation Development.” The speech provided new staff members with inspiration and a fresh perspective on their roles in driving the university forward.

A variety of activities were organized throughout the orientation, including ice-breaking sessions to foster camaraderie among new staff, group discussions, and workshops on various topics such as research support systems, career development, and university regulations. These activities aimed to equip new staff members with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles.

Highlights of the orientation:

  • Keynote address: The university president’s speech provided valuable insights into the university’s vision and direction.
  • Group activities: New staff members had opportunities to interact and network with their peers.
  • Learning about university systems: Participants gained knowledge about various university systems, such as research support systems, financial systems, and regulations.

Annual Health Check-up 2021

HR would like to inform the details of the annual health check-up as follow

Period : 18 June 2021 to 15 September 2021

Eligible Person : All contract lecturers including monthly temporary employers except enterprise employees daily workers (For those who are ineligible and the families of the employees, if you wish to be examined, you must pay for the examination cost with the same special rate as the staff.)

Number of service :  Approximately 40 people per day, providing services to those who pre-registered via the link provided. 

Special Examinations : For 3 special health check-up items, which are mammogram, upper abdominal ultrasound  and cervical cancer by Thinprep method, the WUH will determine the date of the examination later because it is examined by outside agencies. 

Regulation : In order to reduce the risk of contracting the Coronavirus (Covid-19), employees must maintain social distance in accordance with the surveillance and disease prevention measures according to the policy.

WU Bangkok Campus : Employees working at Walailak University, Bangkok, the university will determine the date of the examination and inform the details of the medical examination directly later.
