ใToday, March 28, 2025, Walailak University held a merit-making ceremony for auspiciousness across three religions on the occasion of its 33rd anniversary. This included an alms offering of dried rice and food to 33 Buddhist monks, chanting by the monks, a du’a (supplication) by an Imam from the Islamic faith, and prayers led by a Christian leader.

Following this, a ceremony was held for the presentation of royal decorations before the portrait of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajira Klaochaoyuhua for the year 2024 Buddhist Era (2024 CE). Two individuals received the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant and the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order  of the Crown of Thailand, 54 individuals received decorations in lower classes, and 18 individuals received the Direkgunabhorn Order.   

In the same ceremony, Walailak University also presented awards to recognize and encourage diligent staff members. This included the awarding of gold rings of honor to 31 staff members who have worked continuously for 25 years, souvenirs for 4 individuals who have worked for 30 years or more, and plaques of honor to 4 distinguished alumni to acknowledge and celebrate alumni who have contributed significantly and brought pride to the university and society.

The organization of this ceremony reflects the progress and auspiciousness of Walailak University on its 33rd anniversary. It also serves to honor staff members who have worked with dedication and alumni who have brought fame to the institut
