"HR" hosted its 33rd anniversary celebration, along with bestowing royal decorations to honor its personnel.
Today (March 28, 2025), Walailak University held a multifaith merit-making ceremony to celebrate its 33rd anniversary. The event included offering dried food and rice to 33 Buddhist monks, a chanting ceremony by the monks, a Du’a (prayer) led by an Imam, and a prayer service led by a Christian religious leader.
The university then hosted a ceremony to present royal decorations for the year 2567 B.E. (2024) in front of a portrait of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn. The honors were bestowed upon 2 recipients of the sash class, 54 recipients of the lower than sash class, and 18 recipients of the Direkgunabhorn class.
During the same ceremony, the university also presented awards to honor dedicated and hardworking staff members. These included gold rings for 31 staff members who have served for 25 consecutive years, commemorative gifts for 4 individuals who have served for 30 years or more, and outstanding alumni awards for 4 alumni. The alumni awards were presented to recognize those who have made valuable contributions to the university and society, bringing great pride to the institution.
The events held today not only commemorated the university’s 33rd anniversary but also honored the dedicated staff and distinguished alumni who have contributed to its progress, auspiciousness, and reputation.
