HRO organized an annual appreciation event for its retiring employees for the fiscal year 2025

On September 4, 2025, Walailak University organized a retirement appreciation event for its personnel for the fiscal year 2025 to express gratitude and honor the contributions that the staff have made to the university and society. Associate Professor Dr. Charan Boonkarn, Vice President of Walailak University, presided over the ceremony.

Associate Professor Dr. Charan Boonkarn stated that every staff member is a valuable resource and a driving force that has led to the university’s progress until today. For the 2025 fiscal year, there are 13 retiring personnel, and 7 of them attended the event today, including:

  • Mr. Paradon Jinchawna from the Division of Student Affairs and Development

  • Mr. Suban Koomad from the Walailuk Botanic Park

  • Mrs. Wannee Muenpetch from the Central Service Division

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Jannet Polpetch from the School of Nursing

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Wittaya Arporn from the School of Political Science and Public Administration

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weeranuch Nispatorn from the School of Science

  • Mrs. Sumalee Saetan from the Walailak University Hospital

Additionally, the Vice President thanked all the retiring personnel for their knowledge, abilities, sacrifice, dedication, as well as their honesty, perseverance, and responsibility in developing the university and bringing pride to the education sector and the community. The success of each person serves as a role model and an inspiration for the younger generation. In closing, the Vice President wished everyone good health, happiness in their post-retirement life, and warm, valuable time with their families.

HRO Welcomes New Staff with Orientation Program

On January 21-22, 2025, the Division of Human Resources and Organization  Walailak University held an orientation program for new staff members of the fiscal year 2025. The event took place at the Hua Taphan Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Walailak University Hospital. The program aimed to welcome new members to the Walailak family and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s culture, goals, and strategic direction.

The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, who delivered a keynote speech on “Results-Based Management: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Innovation Development.” The speech provided new staff members with inspiration and a fresh perspective on their roles in driving the university forward.

A variety of activities were organized throughout the orientation, including ice-breaking sessions to foster camaraderie among new staff, group discussions, and workshops on various topics such as research support systems, career development, and university regulations. These activities aimed to equip new staff members with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles.
