Walailak University’s HRO Hosts English-Medium Seminar “Achieving Academic Excellence” to Drive Academic Promotions and Research Integrity

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the Division of Human Resources and Organization (HRO) at Walailak University organized a specialized seminar titled “Achieving Academic Excellence: Promotion Process and Research Ethics.” Held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mokhalan Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of the Prof. Dr. Wichit Srisa-an Building, the event was conducted entirely in English to accommodate both Thai and international faculty members while fostering an internationalized learning atmosphere.

Strategic Alignment and Objectives

The initiative directly supports the university’s strategic key performance indicator (KPI) targeting over 62% of full-time faculty holding academic titles, aligning with world university ranking standards. The session emphasized enhancing faculty capabilities in international journal publishing and citation impact alongside research ethics to drive professional career progression and institutional excellence. Primary objectives included:

• Policy Updates: Clarifying newly issued rules, regulations, and announcements regarding academic rank promotion.

• Ethical Standards: Raising awareness of research ethics, governance, and critical pitfalls in academic publication.

• Knowledge Exchange: Providing a direct platform for faculty to consult with key committee chairs regarding qualification screenings and compliance.
