Walailak University Hosts Module 5 Training to Enhance the Capacity of Mid- and Junior-level Administrators through Strategic Planning Presentations

On July 17, 2025, the Division of Human Resources and Organization of Walailak University organized a training activity under the program “Capacity Building for Mid- and Junior-level Administrators of Walailak University” . The focus of this fifth module was “Research Report Preparation and Presentation.” The training was held at Hua Taphan Conference Room, Walailak University Hospital, with Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presiding over the event. He was joined by 12 senior administrators, including vice presidents and assistant to the presidents, who attended the presentations and provided constructive feedback to all participant groups.

The program participants, who are mid- and junior-level administrators at the university, were divided into six groups to prepare research reports and present strategic plans for managing Walailak University over the next four years. These plans were developed by applying the knowledge, experience, and tools acquired from the previous four modules of the course:

  1. Self Management

  2. Team Management

  3. Driving Performance Excellence

  4. Study Visits and Experiential Learning, which included visits to Banpu Public Company Limited, Mahidol University (Salaya Campus), and Kasetsart University (Bang Khen Campus).

The aim of this activity was to enable participants to effectively utilize the tools provided throughout the course to plan, improve, and develop university management systems, fostering efficient internal operations that align with future changes and challenges.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong expressed his appreciation for all participant groups for delivering high-quality strategic plans. He emphasized the importance of integrating technology into administrative tasks and organizational management. He noted that modern administrators must possess the knowledge and skills to leverage technology effectively, both in operational functions and human resource management. This, he stressed, is crucial for propelling Walailak University toward sustainable excellence in the years ahead.
