Human Resources and Organization Division Celebrates Songkran with Traditional Thai Customs

On April 12, 2024, the Human Resources and Organization Division organized a Songkran celebration to preserve Thai traditions. The event, held at the division’s office, featured traditional activities such as bathing the Buddha image and paying respects to elders.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly as division members came together to participate in these time-honored customs. They began by bathing the Buddha image to seek blessings for the Thai New Year, followed by paying respects to Dr. Permrudee Noonsang, the Acting Head of the Division.

In addition to preserving Thai traditions, this event served to strengthen relationships among division members, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie.

Training Course: “Utilizing ChatGPT to Enhance Research Capabilities for New Faculty”

The Human Resources and Organization Division, in collaboration with the Digital Technology Center, organized a training course entitled “Utilizing ChatGPT to Enhance Research Capabilities for New Faculty” on Wednesday, March 20, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Phattaradharmarporn Meeting Room, 9th Floor, Building C, Walailak University Medical Center.

The target audience for this training was new faculty members with less than two years of experience and limited exposure to Generative AI. The training format included lectures, demonstrations of use cases, and practical guidance on using the tool.

Associate Professor Dr. Nicha Nant Kittipattanabovorn (Assistant to the President) served as the main speaker, while Ms. Nawaporn Chaisena acted as the assistant lecturer. A total of 34 participants attended the training.

Walailak University’s Human Resources and Organization Division Prepares for 5S Assessment

On February 2, 2024, the Human Resources and Organization Division at Walailak University, led by Dr. Permpradee Nun sang, Acting Head of the Division, prepared for the annual 5S assessment. Although the division was exempt from the assessment this year due to ongoing renovations at the main building and the temporary relocation of the department, the team remained committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Recognizing the importance of a tidy and efficient work environment, the Human Resources and Organization Division team proactively organized their workspace to meet the 5S standards, focusing on the principles of “Seiri” (sort), “Seiton” (set in order), and “Seiso” (shine). This proactive approach demonstrates the division’s dedication to fostering a productive and professional work atmosphere.

The division’s commitment to upholding the 5S standards, even when not required to participate in the formal assessment, reflects the organization’s broader culture of efficiency and order. This proactive stance sets a positive example for other departments within the university.

HRO Rings in the New Year with a Morning Blessing Ceremony and an Afternoon Career-Themed Party

On December 28, 2023, the Human Resources and Organization (HRO) team kicked off the new year with a unique celebration that combined a morning blessing ceremony with an afternoon career-themed party.

Morning Blessing Ceremony: The HRO team started the day by participating in a merit-making ceremony to invite blessings for the new year. Five monks from Wat Klong Din Temple in Thasala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, were invited to receive alms. HRO members and staff from other departments joined the ceremony to receive blessings for the upcoming year.

Afternoon Career-Themed Party: Later that afternoon, the team transformed into a colorful array of professions. Staff members dressed up as various characters such as musicians, soldiers, police officers, delivery personnel, lottery vendors, and beggars, among many other creative and unique professions. The office was filled with excitement and laughter as everyone showcased their imaginative costumes. The career-themed party was filled with lively energy and engaging activities, fostering a fun and friendly atmosphere among HRO team members. A costume contest was held, with Ms. Nittiya Thongseno, also known as Nongsai, winning first place for her creative portrayal of a lottery vendor.

The HRO team’s New Year celebration not only marked the team’s achievements but also demonstrated their commitment to fostering a positive and fun work culture. As the team enters 2024, they are filled with enthusiasm and determination to face new challenges and achieve great success in the coming year.

Human Resources and Organization Division Conducts Briefing on Individual Workload Agreements

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, in Room 7301 of Building 7, the Human Resources and Organization Division held a briefing on developing individual workload agreements for departments, institutes, units, offices, and other similar entities. The purpose of this briefing was to ensure that these agreements align with the university’s established standards.

Led by Associate Professor Dr. Warit Chaojitt, Vice President overseeing personnel matters, and Dr. Premrudee Noon Sang, Acting Head of the Human Resources and Organization Division, along with department heads and performance evaluation staff, the briefing provided detailed explanations. Associate Professor Dr. Warit delivered a presentation titled “Developing Objective-Based Individual Workload Agreements.” He clarified the workload proportions for different position groups, including sub-degree, bachelor’s degree and above, academic rank holders, field operations staff, and junior management positions. Employees have the option to choose between two workload tracks: the standard track and the professional development track, which requires employees to produce work and apply for academic positions.

The briefing was well-received, with participants from various departments actively engaging in discussions and asking questions to ensure a clear understanding of the information for accurate implementation. WU Innovation Days 2023: A Glimpse into the Future of Technology, Collaboration, and Innovation

The highly anticipated WU Innovation Days 2023, organized by the Division of Human Resources and Organization, kicked off on 7-8 September 2023 with a flourish of excitement and anticipation. This annual event, renowned for its exploration of groundbreaking technologies and fostering collaborative innovation, has drawn innovators, thought leaders, and organization experts from every supportings Section. WU Innovation Days 2023 boasts an impressive lineup of speakers from various sectors.

WU Innovation Day 2023 is a platform where various agencies can present their innovations and new ideas to improve their work. It is also a platform for the emergence of presenters from many agencies.

The results from this presentation will be counted as the score of the supporting agency. The scoring committee comes from various sectors. The atmosphere of the event was fun and creative and the audience was excited by the innovations being presented.

On Friday, July 21, 2023, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the Division of Human Resources and Organization organized an activity “Presentation on PDCA topics” with the acting Vice President. (Associate Professor Dr. Warit Jawjit) Vice President overseeing Division of Human Resources and Organization participated in listening and giving suggestions to the topics of PDCA of the HRO team in order to prepare for the full PDCA submission that will arrive in September, which is the end of this fiscal year 2023, as well as having lunch together with the team.

Dr. Mongkol Thirananon, Acting Assistant to the President of Walailak University along with 5 representatives from the human resources and organization department representing the celebration of His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday anniversary On Friday, July 28, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, at Tha Sala District Auditorium, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. There were participants and distinguished guests from heads of government agencies / state enterprises / local government organizations / private sector and the public sector. Placing Phan Phum Thong – Phum Ngoen, respectively, with the Tha Sala District Chief presiding over the ceremony.

Tha Sala District Chief led the participants to light candles to give blessings and the ceremony was finished.

Walailak University organized a ceremony in celebration of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak’s birthday anniversary on 4 July 2023.

Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by university executives, representatives from government and private sectors, students, and the public.

The ceremony was held to express deep gratitude and reverence for Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn’s benevolence and dedication to the well-being of the people and the nation.

HRO staff members also attended the ceremony and placed the silver and gold bouquet in front of Her Royal Highness’s portrait to show loyalty for her birthday anniversary.
