Entry Scheme into Thailand through TEST AND GO (Revised measures effective from 1st March 2022)

ELIGIBILITY

  • Fully vaccinated (at least 14 days prior to departure)
  • Travelers from all countries/territories

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Passport
  2. Certificate of Vaccination
    – Aged 12-17 may be vaccinated with only 1 dose of vaccination
    – Unvaccinated children aged under 18 must register and travel with their parent or legal guardian
  3. Paid SHA Extra+ / AQ Hotel booking confirmation for 1 day including the fee for 1 RT-PCR test, 1 ATK self-test kit and airport transfer
  4. Insurance with minimum coverage of 20,000 USD for medical expenses
    – Not required for Thai nationals or foreign nationals who have Thai social security / confirmation letters from employer in Thailand

STEPS

  1. Register on Thailand Pass at https://tp.consular.go.th/
    *Processing time is 3-7 days
  2. Prior to departure, obtain RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before departure
  3. Upon arrival in Thailand, pass through designated checkpoints before proceeding to your hotel via a sealed-route (airport transfer arranged by hotel)
  4. Undergo a RT-PCR test and wait for test result at your hotel
  5. Take ATK self-test on Day 5-6 and report the test result as instructed by the Ministry of Public Health

Regulations on entering Thailand for non-Thai nationals from 1 February 2022 onwards

1. Travelers who enter Thailand must register with the Thailand Pass application (https://tp.consular.go.th) at least 7 days in advance of the departure date. Thailand Pass QR Code would be issued to the applicant after approval. Travelers need to present this Thailand Pass QR Code to airlines upon check-in and to the Thai immigration officials.

2. Requirement for PCR test prior to departure

  • The RT-PCR Test Certificate must be written in English and the test result must be printed out in hard copy.
    • Foreign travelers need to present an RT-PCR Test Certificate with a negative result, issued within 72 hours before departure for all schemes to enter Thailand.
    • Thai citizens entering Thailand under Test and Go and Sandbox schemes need to present an RT-PCR Test Certificate with a negative result, issued within 72 hours before departure.
    • Thai citizens entering Thailand under 7-day or 10-day Alternative Quarantine scheme do not need to present a negative test result before departure.

3. Schemes for travelers to enter Thailand (for all nationalities)

  • Travelers who are fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to travel are eligible to choose between Test and Go, AQ and Sandbox options as follows:

      • Exemption from Quarantine (Test and Go)
        Travelers need to book and pay for the designated hotels on the 1st day of arrival in Thailand and on the 5th day to undergo the RT-PCR tests at the hotels. The total hotel booking confirmation should be at least 2 nights at the same hotel or different hotels. The two hotels can be located in different provinces in Thailand.
        If the RT-PCR test result on the 1st day at the hotel is negative, the travelers can travel across Thailand including other provinces and are required to stay at the designated hotel again on the 5th day to take the 2nd test of RT-PCR. If the test result is negative, the travelers can travel freely in Thailand.

          • List of required documents for registration on Thailand Pass system
            (1) Traveler’s passport
            (2) Traveler’s Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19
            (3) Fully Paid Confirmations of SHA Extra+/AQ/OQ/AHQ hotel reservation at least 2 nights at the same hotel or a different hotel. The 1st hotel reservation must include a package of airport pickup service and expense for RT-PCR test; while the 2nd hotel reservation must include expense for RT-PCR test.
            (4) Medical insurance with minimum coverage of 50,000 USD (expats residing in Thailand can use a social security card or certifying letter issued by employer)
      • Quarantine for 7 days at Alternative Quarantine (AQ)
          • List of required documents for registration on Thailand Pass system
            (1) Traveler’s passport
            (2) Traveler’s Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19
            (3) Fully Paid Confirmation of AQ hotel reservation for at least 7 days and the hotel reservation must include a package of airport pickup service and expense of RT-PCR tests for 2 times.
            (4) Medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 50,000 USD (expats residing in Thailand can use a social security card or certifying letter issued by employer)
      • Quarantine for 7 days in the following Sandbox Areas, including:
          • 1. Phuket Province, Krabi Province and Phang Nga Province
            2. Surat Thani Province (only Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan)
            3. Chonburi Province (Pattaya District, Bang Lamung District, Sriracha District, Koh Sichang, Sattahip District applied only with Na Chom Thian and Bang Saray Subdistricts)
            4. Trat Province (only Koh Chang)

            (3) Fully Paid Confirmation of SHA Extra+/AQ/OQ/AHQ hotel reservation and the hotel reservation must be at least 7 days with the package to include expense of RT-PCR test for 2 times
  • Travelers who are not fully vaccinated need to quarantine for 10 days at Alternative Quarantine (AQ)
          • List of required documents for registration on Thailand Pass system

            (2) Traveler’s Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19 (if any)
            (3) Fully Paid Confirmation of AQ hotel and the hotel reservation must be at least 10 days with the package to include airport pickup service and the expense of RT-PCR test for 2 times.
            (4) Medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 50,000 USD (expats residing in Thailand can use a social security card or certifying letter issued by employer)

Division of Human Resources and Organization and Chulabhorn Royal Academy has agreed on dealing COVID-19 Vaccine “Sinopharm” to provide service for Walailak University staff and students

On September 17th 2021 the agreement has made between Walailak University and Chulabhorn Royal Academy to send more than 3 thousands doses of  Sinopharm to provide service and safety to Walailak University’s staff ad students. The vaccination schedule will be made within September 30th 2021.
